COIDA Registration

Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act

Who must register?

All employers who employ at least one worker must by law register with the Compensation Fund.

How it works

  • To get a letter of good standing, your company must first be registered with the Compensation Fund. We will take care of this for you. Turnaround is 24 hours
  • Once registered, a return of earnings (ROE) declaration must be filed. The declaration is merely an estimate of your projected payroll for the period 1 March to 28 February. Again, we take care of this with full consultation with you.
  • After filing the return of earnings (ROE), an assessment invoice will be issued based on our submission. Please note, we will advise you on what the amount payable will be before we file the return of earnings (ROE) so as to ensure you are not blind sided.
  • The value of the assessment will have to be paid directly to the Compensation Commissioner before the letter of good standing will be made available

Registration requirements

To register with the Compensation Fund, the following documentation is required:
1. Company registration certificate (CoR14.3 or CK1)
2. Clear ID copies for all directors/members
3. Bank account confirmation letter
4. Cost = R1450.00 (Registration in 48 hours)
